PANJRadio was faced with going off the air. At the time it was a 15 month old station growing rapidly filling a market in the Lamberville NJ and New Hope PA market. Their service provider Live365.com had lost funding and announced they no longer could support their radio station customers.
PANJRadio found a new service provider, Listen2MyRadio.com, to handle their station. However the vendor did not have a reliable player for PANJRadio listeners. PANJRadio required a popout player for desktop listeners that also would work on smartphones and in particular the Apple iPhone and iPad or the IOS system.
After searching a third party players was located that would work on all platforms. We purchased the software and modified it to PANJRadio content needs.
PANJRadio choose GoDaddy for their startup phase website. This required learning how to integrate the popup player into the components that GoDaddy provides its customers in its website manager tool.
GoDaddy does not allow the customers to upload webpages and they must use the website manager tool. This meant that a standalone Web Radio Player could not be hosted on the PANJRadio GoDaddy website. The solution was to install the Web Radio Player on its own web host and link it to the PANJRadio GoDaddy web site.
It also involved learning the GoDaddy components and training the PANJRadio staff how to put in the Web Radio Player links for desktop and mobile views. This allowed the staff to continue maintain the website without requiring a web engineer.
